Music
March #10, Op. 59:
G. Stolyarov II

April 29, 2009
This march contains numerous harmonies which have been associated with the Middle East – at least by late 19th-century composers of music that was meant to sound exotic to Western ears. Like all of Mr. Stolyarov’s compositions, however, this one is strictly harmonious in accordance with classical Western standards. Length: 2:26.

Why the Law is Foreign to Ginsburg:
Selwyn Duke

April 29, 2009

Selwyn Duke believes that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg really believes what she says when she touts the use of foreign law by American judges sworn to uphold the Constitution – that would be our constitution. Speaking about this recently at Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, she said, “I frankly don’t understand all the brouhaha lately from Congress and even from some of my colleagues about referring to foreign law [when handing down court rulings] . . . .” However, Mr. Duke argues that Justice Ginsburg does not understand what the legitimate functions of a Supreme Court justice are.

Extracting Ourselves from the Wetlands Quagmire:
Edward Hudgins

April 29, 2009

Dr. Edward Hudgins believes that America's disgraceful wetlands policies must be challenged on ethical grounds. Only moral confusion or worse - a deep hatred for all things human - would cause anyone to put the welfare of bugs and bogs over people. It is time to truly put people - their lives, liberty, and property - first. It is time to extract ourselves from the quagmire of wetlands policy and bulldoze its philosophical premises under the fresh soil of freedom.

The Wrenching Transformation of America:

Tom DeWeese

April 30, 2009

Tom DeWeese discusses many of the dangers of the agenda of Sustainable Development, which aims to limit economic and technological growth by targeting communities throughout the United States and requiring local officials to comply with draconian environmental mandates and prohibitions that do not make sense on a rational basis.
