The first part of Mr. Stolyarov’s video presentation in opposition to John McCain’s foreign policy ideas critiques McCain’s stated intent to keep American troops in Iraq until 2013. It is perplexing that five and a half years of America’s presence in Iraq has been unable to pacify this country. Contrast this with the ability of United States forces to defeat some of history’s most powerful totalitarian dictatorships during World War II within fewer than four years. While the removal of a bloodthirsty dictator from power may have been a desirable objective, this does not imply that the U. S. government should have been used to furnish that objective.
