In Government We Trust?:
Ron Paul

September 9, 2008
Many who agree with Rep. Ron Paul on a lot of other issues do not understand his enthusiasm for gold and sound money or why he spends so much time studying and talking about monetary policy.  It’s true that he talk about money differently than most, but the fact is sound money offers many benefits.  For example – peace. Rep. Paul explains.

The Social Responsibility of Coal:
Paul Driessen

September 9, 2008
Almost every company wants to be “socially responsible.” Unfortunately, the environmentalist version of corporate social responsibility largely ignores socio-economic considerations, the many benefits of fossil fuel and nuclear power, the significant land and environmental impacts of wind, solar and ethanol – and the oppressive effects of soaring energy prices on jobs and poor families.
Following environmentalist prescriptions for being ethical and responsible would thus result in absurd, harmful, unethical energy policies – and indeed they have. Paul Driessen addresses this problem in the context of coal, an important part of America ’s – and the world’s – energy solution.

The Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy:
Alan Caruba

September 1, 2008
Ron Arnold’s book, Freezing in the Dark: Money, Power, Politics and The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy , is not light reading. This heavily researched and documented narrative reveals all the major players of the liberal universe and how these renamed “progressives” interact through networks of wealthy foundations, advocacy groups, think tanks, and leftist media. Alan Caruba describes some of the highlights of Arnold's thorough work.

Is the Presidency Above Obama's Pay Grade?:
Selwyn Duke

September 1, 2008
When Barack Obama was asked about when a developing being inside the womb becomes human, his response was: “Whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity is, you know, above my pay grade.” Selwyn Duke argues that such a response places the Presidency of the United States above Obama's pay grade.

Freedom is Golden:
Ron Paul

September 1, 2008
As the Olympics wind down, Ron Paul amazed at how things change every four years. Many Americans were glued to their televisions to watch the excitement from Beijing, and also heard announcers wax nostalgic with memories of times when the Soviet Union was the USA’s biggest competitor for Olympic gold. There was a time when it was unthinkable that a government as powerful as that of the Soviet Union’s could possibly crumble, yet crumble it did. The irony is that the strength of the Soviet government was also its weakness, as no country, no economic system can remain strong under the crushing burden that is central planning.

"So you think that money is the root of all evil. Have you ever asked what is the root of all money?"
