Words are but waves of sound conveyed through air.
You could choose other sounds to mean the same.
Can they suffice to fathom all that’s there?
Can we fulfill all Western metaphysics’ aim?
Or is there more – a melody well played;
A curious kitten prowling in the yard;
A job well done within an honest trade;
The respite after running long and hard?
Some would inquire, “But what is it all for?”
And wish to justify it by some final cause.
But life exists sans single goal or core.
Open your eyes; give teleology a pause.
The joy of living never on words stood.
You live; you sense it; therefore, it is good.
