The torrents against his complexion blow,
His vessel rocked from side to side.
To Paradise he seeks to go.
Amid his course lurks Nature's tide.

From ports of agony he'd sailed,
And only he upon a humble raft
Moved through the seas while others failed,
Where much enhanced became his craft.

A skiff, a frigate, a dreadnought
His ship successively became,
As he had grand enhancements sought,
And did much violent chaos tame.

Supplies and reason, both in hand,
His hardened face does radiance emit,
Upon the bow does proudly stand,
A dauntless gaze does his complexion fit.

The waves splash against his feet do splash,
Alluring into the abyss,
Attempt his vessel grand to crash,
But he will not submit to this.

He states "Steer west!" with stern resolve.
Within his voice refined dissent
Does all his comrades' doubts dissolve.
The ship proceeds as it had went.

What comes ahead remains unclear,
To win or lose there's still a chance.
Yet within him there is hatched no fear.
"To try, succeed, proceed" remains his stance.

His mocking smirk all danger does defy,
Against all hardships does perfection crave,
And soon he shall emit no tear nor sigh,
For he'll become the master of the wave.

The other ones, to peril doomed,
Have all to obsequy resigned.
But he will not be by the tides consumed.
Will stay afloat the ship, Mankind!
