A painter of the Romantic School, Friedrich is renowned for his dynamic and colorful landscapes. Mr. Stolyarov considers "Wanderer in a Sea of Fog" to be an especially masterful painting, portraying a gentleman towering over vast stretches of intermingled wind and rocks, showing the Enlightened Man's dominance over the most turbulent aspects of the natural world.
